Wieke Scholten

 

Wieke Scholten is a social & organisational psychologist with over 20 years of experience in observing, analysing and changing human behaviour in organisations. The last 14 years she has specialised in behavioural risk management within financial services. Together with a team of organisational psychologists and statisticians Wieke supports organisations globally in managing counterproductive work behaviour and applying organisational psychology in practice to obtain better outcomes. Her experience is across different regions such as Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, South America and the APAC region. Wieke holds a PhD in social psychology on team climates that can elicit unethical behaviour, obtained at Leiden University in the Netherlands. ​

Wieke has founded and led several expertise teams in the field of behavioural risk management. She was Head of Behavioural Risk at NatWest Group Internal Audit (2016-2019), where she has set up a strategy, methodology and team operating from out of London to identify behavioural risk globally. She was Senior Supervisor of Behaviour & Culture at the Dutch Central Bank, DNB (2011-2016) where she was one of the first two psychologists hired by DNB to shape the supervision of behaviour and culture. Additionally, she helped organisations globally to build behavioural risk capability in house, with her consultancy team as a Lead Partner Behavioural Risk at &samhoud consultancy (2019-2023). ​Next to her role at BR Insights, she is Managing Director Europe for Swarm Dynamics that offers technology solutions to uncover and measure culture, using AI and behavioural science. She lectures at the Institute of Banking and Institute of Directors Ireland on topics such as ethical leadership and psychology in the boardroom. Wieke is author of the book ‘Banking on team ethics’ (2018) and several publications, including in the Harvard Business Review, the Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance and the Journal of Risk Management in Financial Institutions.

Merijn Duchatteau

 

Merijn Duchatteau is a behavioural & organisational psychologist contributing to the team of BR Insights with 7 years of consulting experience in observing, analysing and changing human behaviour and culture.  He is experienced in conducting behavioural and cultural risk analyses, design and implementation of holistic behavioural and cultural change interventions, and development of qualitative and quantitative measurements for progress in behavioural and cultural change. His approach is rooted in evidence-based behavioural science and the most recent insights on organisational & cultural change, combined with practical applicability for organisations. ​

Merijn obtained two Master’s degrees, both graduated cum laude, in Behavioral Change and Work Health & Organizational Psychology at the Radboud University in Nijmegen and has worked internationally across a variety of industries, including regulated organisations like financial bodies, and throughout different cultural contexts such as Europe, the United States, the United Kingdom and Asia. ​

Sara van Delft


Sara van Delft is an organisational psychologist contributing to the team of BR Insights with experience in observing, analysing and changing human behaviour in organisations. Together with a team of organisational psychologists and statisticians, Sara supports organisations globally in managing counterproductive work behaviour academically-based. ​

Sara has international experience in conducting behavioural and cultural risk analysis and change trajectories for regulated organisations like financial services firms and high reliability organisations. Her experience is acquired in different cultural contexts across Europe, the United States, South America, the United Kingdom and Asia. Next to performing dedicated behavioural reviews, Sara has experience in the creation of regulatory and internal audit methodology in the field of behavioural and cultural risk management. ​

Sara has obtained a Master's degree in Work and Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology majoring in Economic Psychology at Tilburg University. In addition to the regular curriculum, she completed the interdisciplinary Excellence Program of Social and Behavioural sciences at Tilburg University, where she acquired knowledge in the management of human behaviour in organisations and intercultural skills and practice.

Odessa S. Hamilton

Odessa S. Hamilton is a consultant scientist, statistician, and a British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited psychologist. Over the past decade, she has built translational expertise that bridges applied and social sciences, leveraging advanced statistical techniques across behavioural science, biomedicine, and economics. At BR Insights, Odessa helps firms across the globe manage their behavioural risk. She leads the application of statistical methods to identify and mitigate counterproductive behaviours, while promoting the adoption of more constructive behaviours that drive favourable organisational outcomes. Her modus operandi at BR Insights is shaped by learnings from Harvard University, the London School of Economics, University College London, and the University of Oxford; reflecting a rigorous, evidence-based approach.

With Board level experience, Odessa has guest lectured on Executive MBA and Leadership programmes, and has communicated scientific innovations on an international scale. She boasts a strong publication record in journals of international standing, from The Lancet to Brain, Behavior & Immunity. Her work has been featured in Psychology Today, The Psychologist, and has been covered by media titans, including The Guardian, MSNBC, and Forbes.

Odessa was trained at four of the world’s top 10 universities. She was awarded scholarships from two UKRI Research Councils and Harvard University. Soon to sit her Doctoral viva voce, Odessa is BPS licensed in Psychometrics, she earned an MSc in Psychological Sciences with Distinction, and secured a First-Class Degree with honours in Organisational Psychology, summa cum laude.

Frans-Jan van Laer
